Jim grew up in Cumberland, Maryland and moved with his parents to Charlotte in 1978. He graduated from UNCC in 1982 with a degree in Early Childhood Education. Jim met Kathy at Providence Road and they were married in 1981. They have two children. Kati and Ryan. Jim works for the Hearst Corporation in technology and Kathy is a math school teacher. Jim has been an elder since 2007. He has been involved with YouthQuest, Foreign Missions and the Mexico Yucatan work, and many of our community outreach programs like Room In the Inn.
